Board of Directors
Paul J. Rizzo
Paul is Chairman of Franklin Street Partners. He retired from his position as Vice Chairman of the Board of IBM Corporation in 1994. Paul is the former Dean of the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a former member of the University System Board of Governors. He is also a past Director of Johnson & Johnson, McGraw-Hill and Morgan Stanley. Paul currently serves as a Director of several corporations including Pozen, Inc., Maersk, Inc., and Cox Enterprises.

Robert C. Eubanks, Jr.
Founder and President. Previously, Bob was Co-Founder and President of McMillion Eubanks Capital Management in Greensboro. He has more than 40 years of experience as an investment professional. Bob’s community activities include serving as Chairman of the Educational Foundation Investment Trust and as a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association Investment Committee. He was elected twice to serve as Chairman of the UNC Board of Trustees and has also served as Chairman of the UNC Endowment Fund, President of UNC Alumni Association, President of the Educational Foundation and Vice-Chair for the All Kinds of Minds Foundation. Bob is an alumnus of UNC-Chapel Hill.

John C. O'Hara, Jr.
Chief Operating Officer. John joined the Firm in 2002 after serving as a Managing Director of Goldman, Sachs & Company. John joined Goldman Sachs in 1979 after receiving his MBA from the University of North Carolina's Kenan-Flagler Business School. In 1990, John left Goldman Sachs to join Commodities Corporation in Princeton, New Jersey, where he served as a Managing Director as well as a member of the firm's Management Committee. In 1997, Goldman Sachs acquired Commodities Corporation and John assumed a leadership role in Goldman's Hedge Fund Strategies unit. John received his undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. John serves as President of the Kenan-Flagler Business School Foundation and Vice Chairman for the Institute of the Arts and Humanities at the University of North Carolina.

Richard V. Fulp
Dick is Chairman of Franklin Street Trust Company and a member of the Board of Directors at Franklin Street Partners. Previously, he was a Group Executive Vice President of Bank of America, San Francisco, as well as with Seafirst Bank in Seattle, and Wachovia Corporation in Winston-Salem. During his 35 years in the trust and securities businesses, Dick was a Director of the Depository Trust Company and served as Chairman of the American Bankers Association Trust and Investment Management Division.

Thomas W. Hudson, Jr.
Tom is a retired executive of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. Previously, he was a Partner with Deloitte, Haskins & Sells in the firm's Audit and Tax Practice/Acquisitions area. He has served on the Board of Directors of various corporations including Duracell International, Bright Telecom, L.P., Motel 6, Nabisco Group and Wometco Cable, and is an alumnus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

William O. McCoy
Bill retired from his position as Vice Chairman of the Board of BellSouth Corporation following a 35-year career in the telecommunications industry. He has served as the Vice President of Finance for The University of North Carolina General Administration, as well as a member of the Board of Directors for Progress Energy and Liberty Corporation. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of several companies including Duke Realty Corporation, Fidelity Investments, and North Carolina Capital Management Trust. He has been a member of the Board of Visitors of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and, most recently, served as the Interim Chancellor of the University.

William M. Moore, Jr.
Bill founded Trident Financial Corporation, a specialty investment bank, in 1975 and served as its CEO until TFC was acquired by Keycorp in 1999. He is a Professor of the Practice of Finance at the Kenan-Flagler Business School, where he has taught graduate courses in investment banking and investment management and has served as Co-Chairman of the MBA Corporate Finance Concentration. Bill is also a Director and former Chairman of the MCNC Research and Development Institute and a Director of RTI International. He is the Chairman of the Investment Committee of the Weaver Foundation and serves on the Investment Committee of the U.S. Naval Academy Foundation.

Patricia R. Morton
Previously, Patty was Managing Director at Deutsche Bank in the equity division. In 1994, she joined Alex Brown in London as the producing office manager, responsible for covering large London-based institutional clients. Prior to that, Patty spent 16 years with JP Morgan, where she worked in various capacities in New York, Singapore, Hong Kong and London. Her responsibilities at JP Morgan ranged from managing the Treasury Department in Hong Kong, to running the firm's European venture capital activities. Patty is an undergraduate of Duke University and received her MBA from the University of Pittsburgh.

Sherwood H. Smith, Jr.
Sherwood is Chairman Emeritus of Carolina Power and Light Company and served as CEO for the company for 17 years. He previously served as Chairman of the University of North Carolina's Board of Visitors. He has served on a number of corporate boards, including those of Wachovia Corporation, Nortel Networks, Springs Industries and Northwestern Mutual Life. He currently serves as Chairman of the Triangle Universities Center for Advanced Studies, Inc., and as Vice Chairman of the Research Triangle Foundation. Also, he is Vice Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Center for Creative Leadership.

M. Rex Teaney II
Prior to joining Franklin Street, Rex was a Senior Vice President – Group Executive with Wachovia Corporation in Winston-Salem. He has over 25 years of experience as a fixed income specialist. Rex is a former member of the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board in Washington, D.C., and a former Director of the Public Securities Association in New York. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his MBA from The Darden School at the University of Virginia.

William B. Thompson
Bill is responsible for the Firm's taxable fixed income management and also coordinates the family office service activities provided by Franklin Street Trust Company. Prior to joining Franklin Street in 1995, he was President and Co-Founder of Peacock-Thompson Investment Management and formerly an Executive with Carolina Securities Corporation. He received an MBA degree from The Darden School at the University of Virginia in 1982 and a BS in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina State University in 1978. Bill has more than 20 years of experience as an investment professional.

H. Michael Weaver
Mike is Founder of Franklin Street Partners and Chairman of the Board of Weaver Investment Company, Greensboro, and of several related real estate and property management companies bearing the Weaver name. He has served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, among his numerous charitable, civic and professional affiliations. |
