Relationship Managers

Richard P. Blankenship, CFA®
Richard is a Relationship Manager with Franklin Street Partners and has been with the firm since November of 1997. He specializes in equity and balanced account management, focusing on both institutional and private investors. Previously, Richard was a Senior Vice President-Portfolio Manager for Bank of America Private Investments. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the North Carolina Society of Financial Analysts and the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute. Richard graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and has been in the financial service industry for over 25 years.

 

Roger C. Eubanks
Roger is a Relationship Manager with Franklin Street Partners and has been with the firm since 2002. He specializes in management of in-house equity and balanced portfolios for wealthy families and individuals, yet he utilizes the entire investment platform at Franklin Street Partners to address client needs. Prior to joining Franklin Street, Roger worked
for UBS Financial, focusing on wealth management for high net worth investors. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with over 12 years’ experience in the financial services industry.  


Joseph B. Fox, IV, CFA®
Joseph is a Relationship Manager with Franklin Street Partners. Prior to joining the firm in 2007, J.B. was a portfolio manager at Capital One Asset Management, LLC, following several years as an analyst within Capital One Private Client Group. He began his career at JPMorgan Private Bank, focusing on wealth management for high net worth individuals. J.B. holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and graduated with honors from Duke University with a degree in Economics.

 

Andrew E. James
Drew is a Relationship Manager with the Family Office division of Franklin Street Partners and has been with the firm since 2002. He works closely with high net worth families in a variety of wealth management roles, ranging from portfolio management to lifestyle management. Drew received his undergraduate and MBA degrees from the University
of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School. He is very active in the community and serves on the Board of Directors at the Ronald McDonald House of Chapel Hill.


John B. Maddison
John is a Relationship Manager with Franklin Street Partners. Prior to joining the firm in 2007, John was a Research Manager for Gerson Lehrman Group, a New York-based independent research provider for hedge funds and mutual
funds, where he helped launch the Consumer Goods and Services division. Previously, John was a senior associate for Thomson Financial’s Capital Markets Intelligence group, an investor relations consulting firm. John received an MBA from the University of North Carolina's Kenan-Flagler Business School. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. John is currently pursuing his Chartered Financial Analyst designation.


Matthew W. Pohlman
Matt manages the Family Office division for Franklin Street Partners and has been with the firm since February of 2004. He works directly with private investors to provide both investment management and financial advisory services. In addition to his work with the Family Office, Matt specializes in the real estate asset class and is involved in firm-wide exposure to real estate. Matt is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of both the AICPA and NCACPA. Prior to joining Franklin Street Partners, Matt worked for companies in Seattle and Chapel Hill in a variety of roles, including Director of Finance and Director of Program Services. Matt began his career with Ernst & Young in New York City and later moved within the firm to Atlanta and Seattle. Matt received both graduate and undergraduate degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.


M. Rob Ragsdale, Jr.
Rob is a Relationship Manager with Franklin Street Partners and has been with the firm since June of 2004. He focuses on institutional clients and endowments. Prior to Franklin Street, Rob was an investment banking analyst with First Union’s leveraged finance division. He then worked with McDonald Investments, Inc., as an associate specializing in mergers and acquisitions, and capital raising for financial institutions. Rob received an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he was Phi Beta Kappa.


W. Brien White
Brien is a Relationship Manager with Franklin Street Partners and has been with the firm since September of 2004.
Prior to joining Franklin Street, Brien was the Chief Operating Officer for HMS Golf, a golf development and management company based in Atlanta, Georgia. Previously, he worked for Morgan Stanley as an investment banking analyst in the mergers and acquisitions department specializing in energy companies. Brien was a Morehead Scholar at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he earned a degree in Economics and Political Science.
