Merlin Kreiser, Jr. (Mert), CPA
Mert is the Director of Trust Administration and Family Office at Franklin Street Partners. Prior to joining the firm, Mert held the positions of Director of Trust Operations with Kaspick & Company and Vice President of State Street Bank & Trust, managing trust accounting operations and client relationship functions. Mert has over 25 years of experience in wealth management and holds the Certified Public Accountancy designation. He graduated from High Point University with a degree in Business Administration and Economics.

Kate M. Bacon, CTFA
Kate is a Trust Officer with Franklin Street Partners and has been with the firm since August 2005. She works with client relationships that have named Franklin Street Trust Company as Trustee or Co-Trustee. Prior to joining the firm, Kate was a Trust Officer at J.P. Morgan Private Bank in Palm Beach, FL. In 2008, Kate received her designation as a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor. Kate graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in Economics.

Misty P. Stewart, CTFA
Misty is a Trust Officer with Franklin Street Partners and has been with the firm since August of 2005. She works closely with the firm's relationship managers to ensure that all documents for our trust clients are processed correctly. Misty graduated from Campbell University with a B.B.A. in Trust Management. Upon graduation, she started her career at Central Carolina Bank (CCB). During her time at CCB/SunTrust, Misty worked in Trust Operations and Client Services. She holds the Certified Trust and Financial Advisor designation.
