M. Rex Teaney II
Prior to joining Franklin Street, Rex was a Senior Vice President - Group Executive with Wachovia Corporation in Winston-Salem. He has over 35 years of experience as a fixed income specialist. Rex is a former member of the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board in Washington, D.C., and a former Director of the Public Securities Association in New York. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his MBA from The Darden School at the University of Virginia.

William B. Thompson
Bill is President of Franklin Street Partners. He is responsible for the Firm's taxable fixed income management and also coordinates the family office service activities provided by Franklin Street Trust Company. Prior to joining Franklin Street in 1995, he was President and Co-Founder of Peacock-Thompson Investment Management and formerly an Executive with Carolina Securities Corporation. He received an MBA degree from The Darden School at the University of Virginia in 1982 and a BS in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina State University in 1978. Bill has more than 30 years of experience as an investment professional.

Charles D. Mires, CFA
Charlie is the Director of Fixed Income and Alternative Strategies at Franklin Street Partners. He oversees products in Opportunistic Credit, the Franklin Street Partners Global Equity Fund, LLC, and the Franklin Street Partners Multi Strategy Hedge Fund of Funds, LLC. He also serves as a member of the firm's asset allocation committee. Prior to joining Franklin Street, Charlie was a Senior Managing Director with the Clutterbuck Group, a distressed credit manager. Prior to that, he worked at Allstate Investments for 22 years where he held leadership positions in fixed income, risk management, and derivatives. Charlie received a BS in Finance and Business Economics from Miami University. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. He is a former member and Vice-Chairman of the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board. Currently, Charlie is a Director of CIB Marine Bancshares, Inc., a public bank holding company.

Alex R. Rakow, CFA
Alex is an analyst in the firm's Fixed Income Department. He evaluates and monitors existing investments, as well as makes ongoing sector and security recommendations to enhance client portfolio performance. Prior to his current role, Alex worked at Franklin Street as a member of the Equity Investment Team. He graduated from Elizabethtown College in Pennsylvania with a bachelor's degree in Economics, and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Tia M. Simser
Tia is the Bond Trader in our Fixed Income Department. She joined Franklin Street in 1999 after working at Bounds Asset Management. Tia is responsible for the analysis and selection of bonds, as well as many other operational duties. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. |
